Hello,

I have already asked some collegues who are working extensively with PVM.
Have you ever observed the following behaviour and do you have an idea about
the reason:

A female student of mine implements a graphical interface to observe one of our
applications realized with PVM (A distributed production planning system).
For this reason the agents of our system send messages about certain
events to a central control process. When many messages are send within
a short time interval she observes that the memory of the PVM-daemon on the
machine of the control process increases. But, if all received messages
have been processed the memory of pvmd still remains high and never
decreases ! When she reduces the number of messages and send
bigger packages (but with the same information) there are no problems !

Any hints are welcome !
