performance computer (HPC) specialist to join the Computational Science
Support
group of the National Environmental Supercomputing Center in Bay City,
Michigan.

Scientific Applications Programmer/Analyst.  Minimum requirements include
twelve or
more years in high performance scientific applications computing and/or
reseach of
progressively increasing complexity.  Skills required include FORTRAN,
CRAY
assember, C, X-Windows, UNICOS, UNIX, and PVM.   Hardware knowledge:  CRAY
Y-
MP, C-90, and T3D.  Also needed are key skills in environmental modeling
applications,
performance analysis, and CRAY or third party scientific and mathematical
libraries.
Responsibilities include advising staff on efficient use of HPC resources,
providing
technical direction, and assisting with computationally intensive
scientific support
activities. Strong interpersonal skillls required.  Permanent, full time
position.  Salary
range; $60-72k depending on qualifications.
