This looks like the problem... Make sure that path is correct.

Actually it's quite possible with NFS.  As this isn't the proper group,
I'll give a brief summary:  In NFS, computers may export directories,
and others may mount these.  Since /tmp is just another directory, it's
possible that it is mounted somewhere else.  It all depends on your
setup - sometimes /tmp is just another directory in /, sometimes it is its
own partition, sometimes it is a remote NFS mount.  It's essentially the
same as a shared /users or /home or whatever.
