There is already a PVM port of POVRay that is available at
ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/patches/pvmpovray.tar.Z
You will most likely also need the source code for POVRay 2.2 at
ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Official/Generic-Unix/povsrc.tar.Z

Don't forget to get the documentation. POVRay won't work without it!
ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Official/Generic-Unix/povdoc.tar.Z

Hope this is of some help.
