I do not think this can be done right now.  The master pvmd
contains the only copy of the routing table.  If it goes down,
everything goes down.

We have circumvented the problem by assigning one machine as
the permanent master and keeping pvm running on it all the
time.  When a prospective hosts wishes to add itself to the
virtual machine, it remsh's to the master and adds itself
using the pvm console.

This is awkward.  We hope that the capability to do what you
are suggesting is implemented in the future.  I hope this is
helpful.
