Hello! I am new to pvm world.
I have installed pvm3.3.6 on a Sun worksation (Sun OS).
The compiling process completes without an error, but
when I try to start pvm, I get the following error messages:

libpvm [pid8619]: mksocs() read addr file: wrong length read
libpvm [pid8619]: pvm_mytid(): Can't contact local daemon

Actually, I have had pvm working a few times previously, but
I had to install HeNCE together. Because of incompatibility
between Hence and PVM, I decided to install only PVM. So I
removed everything and recompiled PVM only. Now I am getting
the above errors. I have removed all the pvm* in /tmp directory
and killed any existing pvm processes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I think I have set up .cshrc file correctly. Are there any
hidden files related to pvm (e.g., any X window files or
OpenWin files)?

Thank you.
