I am running PVM 3.3 in a homogeneous HPUX (HP-9000)
environment. Today when attempting to add hosts from
the console, I was notified that the spawn of a new
host failed. When I looked at /tmp/pvml*, I saw the
message
   remshd: Account is disabled.

I know that PVM uses rsh/remsh to start up new hosts,
so I tried
   remsh <remote-machine> finger

and got the same message (remshd: Account is disabled.)

So, I notified our systems people, and they told me they
are aware of the problem and it is due to a recent
system upgrade and that they have notified HP.

Has anybody else come across this, and if so, is there a fix?
