This is a bug in PVM under Solaris it is know to the authors of PVM and has appeared
in the newsgroup every now and again without solution.

The "duplicate host" is due to a daemon being started on the added machine so
pvm sees it there but it isn't correctly connected. It dies after a few minutes
but you can kill it manually (using 'kill') but you'll have to tidy up the /tmp/pvm*
files as well.

I have had some success with starting pvm with a hostfile on Solaris machines,
but neither manual add or the addhosts routine work properly...

Anyone know anything new on this one? Will it be fixed sometime?
