Hi,

I had a problem when running pvm under Solaris. I started my application
and hit CTRL-S to stop output. In the background communication still went
on. After a while the pvmd grow quite large. I decided to kill my application
and pvmd. Afterwards I noticed that most of the main memory was still in
use. But there was no real process which owned this memory (I verified it by
using ps and top). So I think that all the memory was eaten by the Solaris
kernel.

So my questions:
	What has happened?
Can I test (by some program) where the memory has gone?
What can I do to prevent it (patch Solaris?!) ?
How can I give back the memory to the system?

I do not think that it's the fault of pvm. I think it it a problem of
Solaris.

I would really like to know what's going on...

Thanks.
