I am about to develop a parallel application using PVM, but I recently
read an article in "Computers in Physics" about MPI1 (Computers in Physics,
Vol 8, No 5, Sept/Oct 1994, pp 533). This looks like it might become
the standard for message passing for distributed-memory multicomputing.
Anyone have experience w/ MPI1 on HP that could give me some insight into
which I should choose? I have PVM (but low on learning curve so not much
invested in it yet) but I don't know where to get MPI1 or if it even runs on
HP yet.
