I have figured out the reason I couldn't add any sunos
hosts, getting the "Can't start pvmd" error. I had an
echo in my .cshrc file. When pvm tried to start a remote
pvm running on another sunos machine, the .cshrc would
try to echo to stdout and this would screw up the add
host. With this echo removed. everything seem to work great.
