Has anyone successfully increased the size of the shared-memory segment on
a SUNMP under Solaris 2.3? I increase PVMBUFSIZE before starting PVM but
I come up against the limit of 1MB on the kernel. I should be able to
increase this limit in the /etc/system file. However in the manual
(Admin. security, performance & accounting) it says the default for
"shminfo_shmmax" is 131072 when simple tests reveal it _is_ 1MB.
Can anyone advise me what this number means/should be set to?

Many thanks,

Jon
