Postdoctoral Research Associate:

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at 
Emory University invites applications for a Postdoctoral 
Research Associate in the area of parallel and distributed 
computing. Emory University is engaged in several research 
projects in high-performance concurrent computing, including 
new generation systems and toolkits for heterogeneous concurrent 
supercomputing. The Research Associate will join the principal 
investigators of these projects and participate in research 
activities in these areas, with an emphasis on distributed systems, 
graphical toolkits, programming models and paradigms, and other
systems issues.

Educational requirements include a PhD in Computer Science 
or closely related discipline, preferably with specialization 
in parallel and distributed high-performance computing. In 
addition, applicants should be well-versed in issues pertaining 
to experimental concurrent computing, via coursework, thesis 
projects, or prior experience.

Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue 
until the position is filled.  An initial appointment for a one 
year term is anticipated with the possibility of reappointment.
