Hello,

I'm using PVM 3.3.4 on a cluster of RS6K workstations.
Despite my little experience in installing and using PVM, I encountred a
problem when executing a PVM Fortran program with PVMTASKDEBUG flag set on.
The master process hangs (as if it is waiting for an event) without any kind
of message. Moreover, no xterm windows executing a dbx process are displayed.

Has any one encountred this behaviour ?

The program is not so much complicated. It is a ~50 lines long.
I made many tests spawning only 1 process on 1 machine with unfortunatly no success.

At last, I think, for tow reasons, that it could be a bug introduced by PVM patch 4 :

  1) With PVM 3.3.3,the same program runs until completion with PVMTASKDEBUG on;
  2) With PVM 3.3.4, the same program hangs with PVMTASKDEBUG on, but runs until
     completion with PVMTASKDEFAULT set on, instead.

Thanks in advance for your help.
