We have been trying to implement a "receiver makes it right" data format
conversion facility into PVM to improve the packing/unpacking performance.
(Initial implementation tests show a 3x improvement on bandwidth on a
Sparcstation)

We would like to know how many PVM users are using machines with IBM
floating point data formats (IBM 370, Fujitsu, Siemens, etc.) or VAX
floating point data formats (VAX mainframes, MicroVax, etc.) and would
like those machines covered in our implementation.

For the time being, we plan to cover the IEEE 754 floating point data
format which include all kinds of workstations and the CRAY floating
point data format.

Thanks for your attention
