Hi,
I have some medium sized benchmarks (They run for about 20-25 minutes) that work
fine with standard PVM, but when I try to use XPVM (I am running on SUN4's),
the system crashes after about
10 minutes. The XPVM window dissappears and in the window where I started XPVM I
receive the following:

Connecting to pvmd already running... xpvm connected as tid 40003.
% libpvm [t40003]: mxfer() EOF on pvmd sock
libpvm [t40003]: pvm_nrecv(): Can't contact local daemon
libpvm [t40003]: mxfer() EOF on pvmd sock
libpvm [t40003]: pvm_nrecv(): Can't contact local daemon
libpvm [t40003]: mxfer() EOF on pvmd sock
libpvm [t40003]: pvm_nrecv(): Can't contact local daemon
libpvm [t40003]: mxfer() EOF on pvmd sock
libpvm [t40003]: pvm_send(): Can't contact local daemon
libpvm [t40003]: mxfer() EOF on pvmd sock
libpvm [t40003]: pvm_recv(): Can't contact local daemon
libpvm [t40003]: pvm_upkint(): No current buffer
Quitting xpvm - pvmd still running.
libpvm [t40003]: mxfer() EOF on pvmd sock
libpvm [pid1774]: pvm_exit(): Can't contact local daemon

my pvm log file contains:
[t80040000] ready  3.3.0   Thu Jun 30 13:14:28 1994
[t80040000] pk_new() can't get memory
[t80040000] pvmbailout(0)

I have used XPVM on the simple demos (both C and Fortran) and it appears to work fine. All that I
have noticed is that while executing the fortran demos, the space vs time demo neglected to draw lines that denoted the receive of certain messages.

Any help would be appreciated,

Xiaowu Lu
