Hi Netters,

I am trying to connect PVM 3.3.0 on a network consisting of a Sun server which
holds the file system and several Indys (SGI5). I have compiled the pvm
twice so I have two directories in lib and bin SGI5 and SUN4. When I operate
pvm it starts normally but when I try to add another computer it gives the
message: can't start pvmd on ..... (either one indy or the sun server). I have
checked my .rhosts file and it is allright. When I check the corresponding
computer, where I tried to install pvm, I found that the pvmd.???? and
pvml.???? in the /tmp directory where created and that if I try to operate the
deamon, it give the message, pvm already running. However, the computer where
I started the process does not recognize that more then one computer is
connected. The second computer sometimes recognize that the process was
started from another computer but it cannot recognize it. when I ask for CONF
it gives the master processor ID as ????. Can anybody help me in this?

Thanks in advance
