Dear PVM-Users,

the solution to my problems posted in two recent articles is the
following:

I had two versions of PVM installed on my system, ~/pvm3 which is
pvm-3.2.6 and ~/SOURCE/pvm3 which is pvm-3.3.0.

I have correctly set PVM_ROOT and PVM_ARCH to the new PVM paths,
so everything starts up fine. with PVM console answering with
"3.3.0" to the "version" command.

BUT, when starting applications such as the maste1/slave1 pair
pvm-3.3.0 uses a default path of

    pvm3/bin/$PVM_ARCH:$PVM_ROOT/bin/$PVM_ARCH

and such starts pvm-3.2.6 executables, if present. You know the
results ...

Sorry for bothering advanced users (those who read the release-notes).
The others might benefit from my faults.

Regards,

        Gerhard Wilhelms
