1994 SCALABLE HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING CONFERENCE

			   May 22-25, 1994
			 Knoxville, Tennessee

The 1994 Scalable High Performance Computing Conference (SHPCC '94) will take
place May 23-25, 1994, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Pre-conference tutorials
will be held on May 22, 1994.

The SHPCC '94 program, registration form, and other material may be obtained
electronically via netlib, as explained below.

SHPCC '94 program includes invited talks, contributed talks, posters,
and tutorials. SHPCC '94 will provide a forum in which researchers in the
field of high performance computing from government, academia, and industry
can presents results and exchange ideas and information. SHPCC94 will cover
a broad range of topics relevant to the field of high performance computing,
with particular emphasis on applications, algorithms, tools, benchmarking,
and load balancing.

The invited talks are:

"A Compiler for Distributed Memory Machines"
     Monica Lam, Stanford University

"Efficient Communication in MPPs and NOWs"
David Culler, University of California, Berkeley

"Data Parallel Languages and Irregular Computation"
Guy E. Blelloch, Carnegie Mellon University

"Scalable Parallel Software - The IBM SP1 experience"
Marc Snir, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center

"Block-Structured Adaptive Methods for Classical Partial
     Differential Equations"
Philip Colella, University of California, Berkeley

Further information on SHPCC '94 may be obtained via netlib. There are 3 ways
of retrieving file from the shpcc94 directory on netlib.

   1. BY EMAIL.
To get a list of files concerned with SHPCC '94 send the following
      one-line email message to netlib@ornl.gov

		      send index from shpcc94

The list will be returned to you by email. Further files in the list
can then be retrieved by email as follows,

		      send file_x from shpcc94
		      send file_y from shpcc94
		      send file_z from shpcc94
				 .
				 .
				 .

   2. BY FTP
To retrieve files from the shpcc94 directory by anonymous ftp proceed
      as follows.

	       ftp netlib2.cs.utk.edu
	       login: anonymous
	       password: (your email address)
	       cd shpcc94
	       ls
	       get file_x
	       get file_y
	       .
	       .
	       quit

   3. BY XNETLIB.
xnetlib is a X-windows interface to software that can retrieve files
from the netlib repository over internet. If you already have xnetlib
installed you probably know how to use it. If you do not have xnetlib
installed you can get the necessary software from the netlib repository
using the email or ftp methods described above. The directory containing
      the software is called xnetlib.
