1. Am I right in assuming that at the mo. only
   one message buffer can be created and packed
   off at a time (I noticed that the pvm_send 
   does not have the bufid indicator in it).

2. A lot of our machines are being upgraded to
   Solaris 2.3 (patches 'n' all), while some
   will remain at the 1.x state. Does 2.3 pose
   any special problems or does it port easy?.
