Hello,

I am using the MPICH implementation on a cluster of HP workstations.
I would like to define several new datatypes using MPI_TYPE_VECTOR,
however if I define more than two, I obtain a runtime error:

p3_17539: p4_error: interrupt SIGSEGV: 11
rm_l_0_17540: p4_error: interrupt SIGINT: 2

 Signal 11: segmentation violation

Is there a limit to the number of datatypes that can be defined, or
does the value of some environment variable have to be modified?

Thanks for your suggestions/help.

Regards,

Mark
