Depending upon the nature of your project, you may also want to consider
HPF. The class of problems suitable for HPF (High Performance Fortran) is
smaller than the class of problems suitable for MPI or PVM. However, for
suitable problems compiled with the best HPF compilers, HPF can deliver
the same performance at about 10% of the development time.

If you tell me something about your project, I may be able to tell you
something about whether it is suitable for HPF.
