I get the following error msg:

0 - Buffer too small in MPI_PACK : System resource limit exceeded

(I'm using the mpich implementation.)

Does this mean
1/ there is a maximal size of what I can pack? If so, how do I find out?
or
2/ have I run out of memory altogether?

I couldn't find any such restriction in the mpi reference manual.

Any help appreciated.
