: I have successfully ported the LAM MPI implementation for Linux, and I
: can strongly recommend it for its ease of installation and use. A few
: patches were necessary which can be found at:

: ftp://ftp.dcs.ed.ac.uk/pub/marr/lam52-linux-patches.tar.gz

I've also added (unofficial) support for Linux (1.2 kernel), NetBSD/i386
& /sparc 1.0, and FreeBSD 2.0.5 to EPCC's CHIMP/MPI 2.1.1b
implementation of MPI 1.1. You'll find the patches at ftp.epcc.ed.ac.uk
in directory /pub/st/chimp - the standard distribution of CHIMP/MPI is
also there in /pub/chimp/release.
