I'm basically interested a library that would have the functionality of:

	MPI_Plot( stuff )

	MPI_Image( stuff )

	etc.

I imagine this library would be the basis for parallel visualization
libraries and applications.  As stated above, it would be similar
to NCAR graphics, GNUplot, etc.


VisLite is a crude approximation (a 1/2 man-year effort) for NX systems.
