I want to try out an MPI implementation on a SUN network which
doesn't allow rsh/rexec access to users. I have downloaded mpich and it
seems to work fine on a single machine, but I can't seem to find too much
info on how to start a "secure server" on it with only rlogin permission.
I am supposed to be helping a professor here decide whether or not
to move from PVM here to an MPI implementation. As I understand it, someone
with root access could set up a server that all students running mpich programs
could then use, but is there a way for a user with only rlogin to start a
server?
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated either in email, or
to the newsgroup here.
