Hi,

yes, you are right. PARIX-OS is the OS of the parallel computers
Parsytec-GC and Parsytec Xplorer. The manufacturer is the german company
Parsytec, Aachen.
The parallel machines were formerly based on the Inmos transputers.
But due to the non availability of the Inmos 9000 Parsytec switched
there producction to the Power PC processor of Motorola. PARIX is
the OS of this machines and is a UNIX style microkernel running on
each node of the parallel machine.
All parallel machines of Parsytec are hosted by a SUN workstation.
Connection via SCSI-bus set top box. Applications are cross compiled
on the SUN host and downloaded into the parallel machine by a run
command.

Hope it helps. Bye, Thomas.
