The PowerPVM version being available for PARIX machines is based on PVM 3.2.6.
PowerPVM is a
"dedicated implementation of PVM for homogeneous parallel computers
running PARIX." (PowerPVM for Parsytec Computers - User's Manual).

PowerPVM can be installed on the SPARC-Frontends by the "Parsytec Standard
Installation" Script coming with the Parix package.
