Hi,

On the parix1.2 manual pages (p51-53 of the March 1993 version),
multiple hostlinks are indicated as a way to improve the I/O bandwidth.

On our two-entry 16-node PowerXplorer system, however, this double
hostlink shows a I/O bandwidth DECREASE with 15-20% in stead of
an (expected) increase!
Both entries are connected to the same host.

My questions:
-Is anyone using these multiple host-links (or partition-entries)
as a way to increase the I/O bandwidth? With which results?
-If both entries are connected to a different host, what are the
 performance gains? (if any...)
-Does anyone has a multiple-entry system (with the entries connected
to different host machines) that I may use for some performance tests?
(note that this require that the nrm is accessible for the user,
and is not shielded from the user, e.g. by CCS-software ;-) )

Thanks in advance,
Geert
